The purchase: a 2009 Ford e250 accessibility van with wheelchair lift, bench seats and a raised roof. First step was to remove and donate the lift.
Next step was to clean surfaces, replace the door step, remove the wheelchair lift and remove unnecessary bench seats.
Using the existing vinyl paneling as templates, new 1/2" birch plywood paneling was added throughout.
Using folding shelf brackets, side tables were added to 3 of the doors
Using Ikea bed frame beams, brackets, and slats, an almost queen-sized bed with 6" memory foam mattress cut to size was added.
A tabletop with storage drawer was mounted to existing bench seat legs, plus swivel mounts were added to the front bucket seats to face backward. Large drawer pulls were used for a large storage drawer out the back doors.
